In the month of December 2020 Militza Núñez opens her own channel on the YouTube platform to interpret stories, fables Audio tales in Spanish where she shows us her qualities as a narrator with inflections and expressions of her voice.

Militza Núñez obtained her End of Studies diploma as a percussionist at the Conservatory in Annemasse, France in 1985. She holds two specialized higher education diplomas from the University of Montreal, Interpretation percussion in 1993, and Orchestral parts in 2000.

Between 1985 and 1986 she joined the youth orchestra of the El Sistema program where she also worked as a teacher of percussion classes in the San Agustín nucleus in Caracas, Venezuela.

That same year he obtained a contract to work as a percussionist on stage with the group Rajatabla; History of a horse by León Tolstoi where she also directed the orchestra of 6 musicians on stage. She is hired a second time to be part of the cast and they tour Central America and the United States with La Celestina by Fernando de Rojas, thus participating in the Latin Theater Festival in New York, both opportunities under the direction of Carlos Giménez.

In August 1988 she obtained by competition a position as a percussionist in the Caracas Philharmonic Orchestra where she remained until 1997 until she entered the competition and became part of the percussionist’s section of the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra where she remained until 1999 when decides to emigrate with his family to Canada.

In 2001 she created the instrumental vocal octet Churuata; where she acts as a mezzo-soprano and percussionist of Venezuelan rhythms, which also allows her to participate in the World Music Festival in Montreal in 2005.

As an extra musician Militza had the opportunity to perform with various symphony and chamber orchestras from the Montreal region. In 2006 she was invited to play as a soloist and guest musician at the Mai center. That same year she participated in the inaugural concert of the World symphonic orchestra where she remained until 2009.

From 2010 to 2018 Militza Núñez is invited as tympanist and percussionist to play with the Lakeshore Band in West Montreal. From 2015 to 2018 Núñez collaborated, taught, and played with the Orchestra of the Encore Sistema de Montreal program.

Since 2003 and until March 2020 Militza Núñez teaches percussion and musical initiation in different daycares, preschool, and primary school. As well as in the cultural centers Georges-Vanier, and Stewart-Hall of Pointe-Claire.
